Placeholders are used when you want to assign recipients to fields, actions, or other items in Aline at a later time. Placeholders are typically common roles in your company like Attorney, Vice President, Sales Rep, Human Resources Rep, or any other common role.

After you define roles, you can then use them in templates and workflows and assign users to those roles when launching the template or workflow. Check out the video below for more info.
