🎯 Summary

  • Admin / Full Seat: Full functionality (AI, workflows, playbooks, redlining, reporting)

  • Basic (Support) Seat: Core workflow tools + limited AI usage

  • Viewer Seat (Free): Read-only access to permitted documents

You can manage all user seats anytime from Settings β†’ Billing.

Step 1: Where to View and Add Users

To manage user seats:

  1. Click Settings in the sidebar.

  2. Select Billing.

  3. From here, you can:

    • Subscribe or update your plan

    • Add additional users

    • Review seat types and billing options

Admin Seat (Full Seat)

Admins have the highest level of access.

What Admins can do

Admins can access everything in the platform, including:

  • Launch workflows

  • Use Aline AI

  • Create and run playbooks

  • Redline documents

  • Create reports

What Admins can see

Admins can view all documents in the workspace by default.

πŸ’‘ Admin and Full seats share the same feature access β€” the main difference is visibility permissions.

Full Seat (Non-Admin Full User)

Full users have access to the full Aline feature set, but may have more limited document visibility depending on permissions.

What Full Users can do

Full users can:

  • Launch workflows

  • Use Aline AI

  • Create playbooks

  • Redline documents

  • Create reports

What Full Users can see

Full users only see documents they have been granted access to (based on labels and permissions).

Basic Seat (Support Seat)

Basic users have core platform functionality with limited AI usage.

What Basic Users can do

Basic users can:

  • Launch workflows

  • Draft documents

  • Use Aline AI (limited usage)

Key difference

Basic users have many of the same workflows and drafting capabilities as full users β€” but their AI access is limited compared to Full/Admin seats.

Viewer Seat (Free)

Viewer seats are free and designed for read-only access.

What Viewers can do

Viewers can:

  • View documents they have permission to access

What Viewers cannot do

Viewer users cannot:

  • Launch workflows

  • Edit documents using AI

  • Create or run playbooks

  • Run reports

⚠️ Viewer users can only see what they’ve been explicitly granted permission to view.

Step 2: Add Additional Users

To add more users:

  1. Go to Settings β†’ Billing.

  2. Click Add Users (or the equivalent seat management option).

  3. Select the user type(s) you want to add:

    • Admin / Full

    • Basic (Support)

    • Viewer

  4. Review your updated billing summary.

  5. Complete checkout to confirm your seat changes.
