🧭 Overview
Before you can activate SSO, you’ll need to verify your organization’s domain.
Once verified, you can configure your SSO connection with your preferred identity provider (IdP), such as Okta, Google Workspace, or Microsoft Azure AD.
Step 1: Access SSO Settings
From your Aline dashboard, click Settings in the sidebar.
Select Manage SSO under the Security section.
You’ll also see another option labeled Manage Domain Verification — this step must be completed first.
⚠️ Important: You cannot activate SSO until your domain is verified.
Step 2: Verify Your Domain
Click Manage Domain Verification.
In the input field, type your company’s domain — not
aline.co, but your own organization’s domain (e.g.,yourcompany.com).Follow the step-by-step instructions that appear on-screen.
These are customized based on your hosting provider (for example: Google Domains, GoDaddy, or Azure DNS).
Complete the DNS verification process as instructed.
Once your domain is verified successfully, you’ll see a confirmation message in Aline.
💡 Tip: If you’re not familiar with DNS settings, your IT or infrastructure team can help complete this step.
Step 3: Configure Your SSO Provider
Return to Settings → Manage SSO.
Click Add Provider.
Choose your identity provider from the list or use the search bar to find it.
Examples include Okta, Google Workspace, Azure AD, or OneLogin.
Follow the provider-specific setup instructions shown in Aline.
You may need to copy a metadata URL or certificate to your provider’s admin console.
Complete the setup and save your configuration.
✅ Once connected, Aline will authenticate users via your chosen provider — ensuring secure, centralized access.
Step 4: Enable Directory Sync (Optional)
After your SSO is set up, you can enable Directory Sync to automatically add or remove users based on your organization’s directory.
This ensures that all team members with access to your domain can log in via SSO.
When employees join or leave your organization, their Aline access updates automatically.
🔄 Directory Sync helps maintain security hygiene and ensures your Aline workspace always matches your company’s active user list.
Summary
Setting up SSO in Aline ensures a seamless and secure login experience for your organization:
Verify your domain to prove ownership
Connect your preferred SSO provider (Okta, Google, Azure, etc.)
Optionally enable Directory Sync for automated user management
Once complete, everyone in your org can log in using Single Sign-On — no extra passwords needed.
